More than four ounces of marijuana, digital scales and cash were seized Tuesday after police served a drug related search warrant at a house on the west side of Pine Bluff, and one man was arrested on felony drug related charges.

Stephen Allen, 26, could be charged with possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, officials said.

He will have to post a $10,000 bond to be released from the County Detention Center after a court hearing Wednesday morning.

Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning said police vice and narcotics officers and the Tri-County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 1220 S. Larch St. at 3:10 p.m. and when they entered the house through an unlocked front door, detained Allen and several females while the search was conducted.

Detective Richard McCorvy reported that officers found a quart size plastic bag containing a green vegetable substance in the southeast bedroom of the house, and a set of digital scales under the bed, along with a Mason jar containing residue from a green vegetable substance.

In the northeast bedroom, they located a large black bag with additional green vegetable residue in it, he said. McCorvy also reported that the substance field tested positive for marijuana and weighed 4.1 ounces.

Manning said Allen is currently on probation after being convicted in 2010 of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Allen told the judge he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court March 21.
