Police vice and narcotics officers seized drug paraphernalia and arrested a Pine Bluff man Friday afternoon after serving a search warrant at 616 W. Greenway Drive.

Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said Lester Ferguson, 50, was taken into custody after officers found a glass smoking pipe, a glass pipe burned on the end, and other items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Detective Richard McCorvy reported that officers also found a can of liquid fire, metal postal scales, digital scales, and when Ferguson was questioned, he reportedly waived his right to an attorney and told officers he used the glass pipe “to smoke methamphetamine.”

Reed said Ferguson had two prior drug related convictions.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Ferguson after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kearney appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Ferguson, and told him to come back to court March 26.
