A reported disturbance at a house on South Ohio Street Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a woman who had allegedly stolen a car in Little Rock and driven it to Pine Bluff.

Angela Rodgers, 36, took the car from the Veterans Administration Hospital without the owner’s consent, Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said during a court hearing for Rodgers Friday.

Detective Jerry Lambert reported that police were sent to 4402 S. Ohio St., where Rodgers’ mother reported that Rodgers came to her house driving a gray Lincoln and the mother knew Rodgers did not own the vehicle.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Rodgers, who Kizer said had no prior convictions or pending charges, after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge her with theft of property.

Kearney appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Rodgers, and told her to come back to court March 16 at 9 a.m.
