Jerrika Hamilton
A report of suspicious activity at a house in central Pine Bluff Thursday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a woman who allegedly entered the house and took items from it.
During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said Jerrika Hamilton, 24, was found outside the house at 817 W. 14th Ave., at about 3 p.m., when police were sent to check suspicious activity.
Detective Kevin Patterson reported that officers located various objects outside the house, including pots and pans, and determined that Hamilton did not live at the house.
Kizer said Hamilton currently has a pending burglary charge in circuit court, and at Kizer’s request, Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $25,000 cash only bond for Hamilton after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge her with residential burglary.
Bridgforth appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Hamilton, and told her to come back to court April 6 at 9 a.m.
