A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 530 at the 45 mile marker Monday night resulted in the death of a Pine Bluff woman.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley identified the victim as Roshunda D. Harris, 20, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Kim Phillips. The cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma.

A preliminary report from Arkansas State Trooper First Class Marlon Briggs said the 2008 Chevrolet driven by Harris struck the back of a tractor-trailer driven by Marcus Bolds, 21, of Houston, Texas, at about 8:47 p.m.

Briggs reported that the tractor-trailer was traveling north in Interstate 530 and had pulled onto the north shoulder of the road.

Harris was northbound in the right lane. When the tractor-trailer began to move again, it pulled into the right lane and was hit by Harris’ vehicle.

Bolds was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was not injured. Harris was not wearing a seat belt, according to the State Police preliminary report.

The death was the 485th reported so far this year on the state’s highways.
