A new series of "Barnes and ... A Conversation With" will premiere on the Arkansas Educational Television Network beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4.

A new series of “Barnes and … A Conversation With” will premiere on the Arkansas Educational Television Network beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4.

“Barnes and … A Conversation With,” AETN’s public affairs series with host Steve Barnes, will address various political topics in interviews with each of Arkansas’s United States representatives. They will discuss the state of the nation and the state of Congress. Particular areas of interest will include disputes over the debt ceiling, repeated attempts to defund the Affordable Care Act and where or if immigration reform will succeed.

Episodes include:

• “Barnes and … A Conversation With Rep. Rick Crawford,” airing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4; repeats at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.

• “Barnes and … A Conversation With Rep. Tim Griffin,” airing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11; repeats at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.

• “Barnes and … A Conversation With Rep. Steve Womack,” airing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18; repeats at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.

• “Barnes and … A Conversation With Rep. Tom Cotton,” airing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25; repeats at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.

The series is underwritten in part by The Moving Image Trust Fund.

“Barnes and … A Conversation With,” in production for more than 20 years, is a current affairs program featuring conversations with a variety of prominent individuals from many interests and backgrounds.
