LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel on Tuesday endorsed state Rep. Clark Hall in the Democratic primary race for 1st District congressional seat. McDaniel, a Democrat, said Hall, of Marvell, "has the proven track record in private business, as a mayor and a state legislator that he can create jobs, improve the economy and address our nation's budget with a common-sense approach to balancing it."

Democrat Gary Latanich, an economics professor at Arkansas State University, has also announced his candidacy for the seat, now held by Republican U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford of Jonesboro.
