STAR CITY — Mrs. Arzula "Granny" Sybert, age 87, of Star City, formerly of Pine Bluff, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, February 25, 2013.
STAR CITY — Mrs. Arzula “Granny” Sybert, age 87, of Star City, formerly of Pine Bluff, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, February 25, 2013.
Born October 9, 1925, at Fulton (Itawamba County), Miss, she was a daughter of the late Jerome “Romie” Steele and Melvina Graham Steele. She married Luther Nathaniel Sybert on February 23, 1946, at Forrest City, Ark. Mrs. Sybert was a homemaker and a long-time member of Yorktown Free Will Baptist Church. She currently attended Overcoming Faith Worship Center.
Mr. Sybert preceded her in death on October 15, 2009. She was also predeceased by three brothers, William Steele, Harley Steele, Sr. and Vester Steele; and two sisters, Virble Mills and Exie Havener.
Mrs. Sybert’s survivors include a daughter, Barbara McEntire and husband Larry of Star City; a son, James Sybert and wife Dorothy of Pine Bluff; a brother, Hollis Steele of West Memphis; four grandchildren, Randy Sybert, Stacey Harrington, David McEntire, and Jonathan McEntire; six great-grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob, Zackery, Faithie, Ben, and Nathaniel; and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at Overcoming Faith Worship Center at Star City, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Brother Don Borland will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Yorktown by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
