Billie Rae Clem, 82, a lifelong resident of Pine Bluff, died Monday, November 14, 2011, at her home.

Billie Rae Clem, 82, a lifelong resident of Pine Bluff, died Monday, November 14, 2011, at her home.

Born October 26, 1929, in Pine Bluff, she was a daughter of Jeff Ray and Emma Choate Tucker.

Mrs. Clem was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. Billie Rae Tucker married Vernon “Pee Wee” Clem in Pine Bluff on March 18, 1949. Mrs. Clem was a head teller for Simmons First National Bank from February 15, 1966, until her retirement on December 31, 1994. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Billie Rae loved her yearly trips to Destin, Fla. She and her daughter, Judy, spent long days on white, sandy beaches relaxing in the sun. They enjoyed the company of many dear friends including Madison and the Ruoppoli family.

Mrs. Clem was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Clem of Pine Bluff; three special nieces, Kay Richardson and husband Bill of Hensley, LeAnne Smith of San Marcos, Texas, and Pat Bailey and husband Chip of Atlanta, Ga.; two nephews, Jerry Clem of Hot Springs, and Ronnie Clem of Mayflower; three nieces, Donna Rector of Hot Springs Village, Barbara Colclasure of Pine Bluff, and and Vicki Stewart of Warren; one brother-in-law, Gene Clem; many other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive visitors from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Doctor Walter Van Zandt Windsor officiating.
