SPRINGDALE — Bruce Allen Holthoff Jr. died January 20, 2012 in Springdale, Ark. He was 56 years old. Bruce was born on August 25, 1955 in Pine Bluff, Ark. to the late Bruce Allen "Preacher" Holthoff Sr. and Jean Shurden Holthoff. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mark and Lance; and a son Bruce Allen Holthoff III.

SPRINGDALE — Bruce Allen Holthoff Jr. died January 20, 2012 in Springdale, Ark. He was 56 years old. Bruce was born on August 25, 1955 in Pine Bluff, Ark. to the late Bruce Allen “Preacher” Holthoff Sr. and Jean Shurden Holthoff. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mark and Lance; and a son Bruce Allen Holthoff III.

He is survived by his wife Melissa (Springdale); three sons, Zachary Shurden Holthoff (Fayetteville), Larz Wolfgang Holthoff (Hot Springs), and Franz Zeppelin Holthoff (Grady); daughter-in-law Krystle Rose Holthoff (Fayetteville); three grandchildren, Jackson, Marley, and Walker; a step son Tanner Hoyt (Pine Bluff); and numerous other family and friends.

Bruce graduated from Star City High School in 1972. In 1997 he graduated as salutatorian of his class at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill., where he earned his degree as a physicians assistant. Bruce loved football and the outdoors and rarely heard a Neil Young song he didn’t like.

There will be a memorial service held at 2 p.m. Friday January 27, 2012 at the Holthoff Family Cemetery in Gould, Ark.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Colbert Super PAC: Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow.
