Mr. Everett Francis "Spike" Worden, passed away on February 6th, 2013. He was 80 years young and said "Growing old isn't for Sissy's".
Mr. Everett Francis “Spike” Worden, passed away on February 6th, 2013. He was 80 years young and said “Growing old isn’t for Sissy’s”.
Everett was a retired submariner in the United States Navy. He served 21 years and retired with the rank of Lt Commander. Spike was known by many over the years in association with Burger King , Memphis in May BBQ Contests and the Addy awards.
He is survived by a son, William Duncan Worden and his wife Tammy of Memphis Tenn, daughter Brenda Lea Waynick and husband Steven of Jackson Tenn; two granddaughters Leah Foust and her husband Joseph, Kimberly Evans and her husband Daniel, and one grandson Grant Worden and five great grandchildren; Savanna Evans, Piper Foust, Bryce Foust, Sophia Evans, and James Evans. He was also survived by three sisters; Joanna, Judy and Dorothy all of whom reside in Texas.
Other than his parents, Mr. Worden was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanie, Marie, and Betty. Rest in Peace, We will miss you….
