Flossie Mae “Sister” Compton, 69, of Pine Bluff passed Monday, March 11, 2013. She was born in Pine Bluff to the late Floyd Anderson s Sr. and Nancy Belle Thompson Anderson.
Survivors include her husband Willie Compton, three daughters: Rev. Carla Compton-Thomas, Connie Compton and Marvella Compton; four grandchildren, Avrion “AJ” Williams, Alexandria Thomas, Jallen Johnson and Jada Johnson; four sisters, Ella Anderson, Rachel (Lee) Holloway, Martha Anderson, Erma (Anthony) Bennett all of Pine Bluff; two brothers Floyd (Mary) Anderson Jr. of Pine Bluff, Earnest Anderson of Milwaukee, Wis.; an aunt Dorothy Horne of California; and a special caregiver Ruby Briggs.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013 at First Trinity Church of God In Christ. Rev. Eddie L. Harris, Jr., Pastor Greater Ward Chapel AME Church will officiate. Services entrusted to the P. K. Miller Mortuary of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Greater Ward Chapel AME Church. Mrs. Compton will lie in repose Saturday, at Trinity Church of God In Christ from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
