LITTLE ROCK Mrs. Harriett Alexander, 88, of Little Rock formerly of McGehee passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at UAMS in Little Rock.

Born December 27, 1922 in Bude, Miss., she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Moriah Causey Jackson. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in McGehee serving as past Sunday School teacher and choir member, and she was a home maker.

Survivors include her husband, Louis Alexander, Sr. of Little Rock; six sons, Rev. Louis Alexander, II., of Atlanta, Rev. Larry Alexander of Dumas, Dr. Lester Alexander of Pine Bluff, Rev. Alphonso Alexander of Little Rock, Major Alexander of Conway, Carlos Alexander of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three daughters, Loretta Alexander, Margaret Alexander both of Little Rock, Monica Toronnes of Port Huneme, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at St. Peters Rock Baptist Church in Dumas with Rev. Louis Alexander, II officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in McGehee by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas.

Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m.

The body will lie in state at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
