Jackie Lee Wood, 67, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012, at his home.

Jackie Lee Wood, 67, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012, at his home.

Born April 22, 1944 in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of the late Richard Emory and Patricia Burkhart Wood. He was reared and received his early education in Fayetteville, Ark., graduating from high school there.

In 1960, he joined the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam as a Navy Seal, receiving several service medals. He worked as an outside sales representative for several years before retiring. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Wood and son, Ross Emory Wood, both of Pine Bluff.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Rev. Norman Ross, Jr., officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Monday, at Robinson’s. Friends may sign the online register at www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
