STAR CITY — James A. Hubbell, 76, of Star City, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. He was born March 10, 1935 in Cardin Bottom, Ark., to the late Harvey and Nettie Vincent Hubbell. Mr. Hubbell was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Star City where he was a deacon. He retired from International Paper after 391/2 years, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

STAR CITY — James A. Hubbell, 76, of Star City, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock. He was born March 10, 1935 in Cardin Bottom, Ark., to the late Harvey and Nettie Vincent Hubbell. Mr. Hubbell was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Star City where he was a deacon. He retired from International Paper after 391/2 years, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

Besides his parents, Mr. Hubbell is preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie Hubbell and William Hubbell; one sister, Wanda Alexander and his first wife, Betty Nelson Hubbell.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Green Hubbell of Star City; two daughters, Jeanie Hubbell and Janie Hubbell, both of Byhalia, Miss.; step-daughter, Jeanie McDonald and husband David of Vicksburg, Miss.; two brothers, Arley Hubbell and wife Mary of Grady and Bobby Hubbell and wife Sonsu of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Ruby Allen and husband Bill of Pine Bluff and Louise Young and husband Joe of Russellville; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Pete Kiefhaber and Bro. Bud Calhoun will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial at Nickolson Cemetery in Jefferson County.
