Kenneth Donnell Davis, age 46, was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. on September 5, 1965 and passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2011. Kenneth grew up in Pine Bluff and graduated from Dollarway High School in 1983. He was the youngest of eight children, the son of Joseph G. Davis, Sr. and Sarah Glien Davis.

Kenneth Donnell Davis, age 46, was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. on September 5, 1965 and passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2011. Kenneth grew up in Pine Bluff and graduated from Dollarway High School in 1983. He was the youngest of eight children, the son of Joseph G. Davis, Sr. and Sarah Glien Davis.

Kenneth accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.

In 1983 Kenneth attended the University of Ark. at Pine Bluff and was active in the ROTC. He also served in the US Army Reserve, Pine Bluff, for about five years. he later enlisted in active duty with the US Navy in 1989 where he proudly served for eight years during the Gulf War (Desert Storm and Desert Shield). During his service years, he was assigned to the USS Forrestal and later to the USS Underwood aircraft carriers. After his service years, Kenneth returned to Pine Bluff and worked for United Medical, a durable medical equipment company for eight years. He delivered medical supplies to elderly or disabled homebound clients and was very much loved. For the past two years, Kenneth worked for Evergreen Paper Mill as a crane operator until his untimely death.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Joseph G. Davis, Sr. and brother Lawrence O. Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Davis of Pine Bluff; two children from a previous 16 year marriage with Angela Hampton (Kimble); sons, Kenneth D. Davis, Jr. and Kavon William Davis of Pine Bluff and Solomon Kevon Davis, Brighton, Tenn.; two brothers, Joseph G. Davis Jr. of Pine Bluff and Evan A. Davis (Darleen) of Dallas; four sisters, Valtine Johnson (Richard) of Huntsville, Ala., Josetta Davis and Sarah Ann Davis of Pine Bluff and Rita Ellis (Lynwood) of Desoto, Texas; his mother, Sarah G. Davis of Pine Bluff and a grandchild, Shanlya Davis.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. James United Methodist Church by Rev. Henry Wilkins IV. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Henson-Holcomb Mortuary.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m., Thursday at the mortuary.
