Mrs. Luzeida Bell Branscomb, 96, of Pine Bluff, passed away at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff on Dec. 12, 2011.

Mrs. Luzeida Bell Branscomb, 96, of Pine Bluff, passed away at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff on Dec. 12, 2011.

Mrs. Branscomb was born in Cherry Valley, Ark., on January 9, 1915, where she lived her early life with her mother, father and two siblings.

Mrs. Branscombís involvement in her church activities led her to her husband of forty four years, the Rev. Joseph B. Branscomb whom Proceeded her in death. From this union 15 children were born. The Branscomb family settled in the Pine Bluff/Altheimer area in the 1950ís.

Mrs. Branscomb delighted in being a home maker and was skilled in the culinary arts. Mrs. Branscomb always stated that her wealth was in her children. She was pleased that 12 of her children attended college and seven graduated from U.A.P.B., where at the age of 72 she enrolled in continuing education classes.

Mrs. Branscomb leaves to cherish her memories, 14 Children, 31 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

Her services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Allen Temple AME church by Reverend Randolph W. Martin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in PK Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.

The body will lie in state at church from 10:15 a.m. until time of service.

The legacy will live on as others reflect on her life and the profound effects she has had through simple acts of kindness and love.
