Funeral services for Michael L. Sanders, 59, of Pine Bluff, died December 23rd at his home, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Greater Fellowship Ministries, 2401 Main St., Bishop Esau Watson.

He was born July 20, 1952, in Dundee, Miss., to the late Bertha Lee Johnson, he was raised by his step-father Alf Robie, Jr.

He received his education at J.C. Cook School in Wrightsville, Ark., he also attended Sweet Home High School.

He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Little Rock, where he was active in church activities. He later joined Greater Deliverance Ministry.

He was a member of New Life Group, he was described as a dynamic speaker, he offered love, the gift of hope, and a new life to fellow members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, step-father, sister Celia Hampton, two brothers, Leslie Hampton, John R. Robie.

Survivors: his wife of 16 years, Shirley A. Sanders, Pine Bluff, two daughters, Cassandra (Anthony) Chukes, Little Rock, Codie H. (David) Turner, Ft. Smith, Ark., two step daughters, Chelsie Hall, LaToya Sanders, North Little Rock, two step sons, John (Jacque) Eaves, Stafford, Va., Kerry Eaves, Pine Bluff, two brothers, Alf Robie, III, James Robie, both North Little Rock, one sister, Carline (Frank) Dailey of Little Rock, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

The remains will lie in state 10:00 a.m. until time of services 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Church.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Perry Funeral Home.
