WHITE HALL — Nell Hill Weatherford, age 82, of White Hall, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.

WHITE HALL — Nell Hill Weatherford, age 82, of White Hall, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.

Mrs. Weatherford was born June 29, 1930, in Lincoln County, Ark., a daughter of the late Verdia Little and Blanche Gray Hill.

She was reared and educated in Lincoln County, graduating from Star City High School in 1948. She then enrolled in business school in Little Rock until she married.

She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and she loved life, her family and people in general and she enjoyed cooking and working at her son’s store, The Sherrill Food Center. She retired from UPS in 1985.

She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Harvey “Tobey” Weatherford, Jr.; two brothers, Verdia Lee Hill, J. A. Hill; two sisters, Martha Harrison, Ruth Nobles.

Mrs. Weatherford is survived by her husband, Earl Harvey Weatherford, whom she married December 23, 1950, in Lincoln County. He said “It was the best Christmas present he ever had and was able to keep”; two daughters, Jan Bell of Minnesota and Vicki Bryant of White Hall; sons, Gray and Mark Weatherford, both of White Hall; 12 grandchildren and 31, great-grandchildren and many loving friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Reverend Charles Cantwell and Reverend Carl Weatherford officiating. Burial will follow in the BUTLER/Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Star City.

The family will receive friends at Robinson’s Friday evening from 6-8 p.m..
