Clyde Caughman, Jr., of the Prague Community in Grant County, died May 27, 2012, at his home.

He was born January 13, 1942, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Clyde Caughman, Sr. and Willie Mae Summers Caughman.

Clyde was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School.

He served in the United States Army.

He enjoyed Square Dancing and was part of the Delta Square at Dumas, Shirts and Skirts, and Star Steppers Square Dancing. He also enjoyed Team Roping and was a member of the United States Team Roping Association, along with Bulldogging, Horses, Coon hunting, Quail hunting, Deer hunting and was a member of Rhoden Hunting Club.

Clyde was self-employed as an excavator.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Sharion Williams Caughman, whom he married on March 24, 1989, in Pine Bluff; a son, Brian Caughman (Sherri) of the Prague Community; a daughter, Carla Pierce (Danny) of White Hall; three stepsons, Richard Dykes of Louisiana, Johnny Dykes (Brenda) of Spring Lake, N.C., Christopher Reeves of Sheridan; a sister Patsy Schulter of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one grandchild; six step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Robinsonís.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, with Reverend Gerald Wingard officiating.

Burial will follow in Center Campground Cemetery, in Prague.
