BENTON Ethyl Hodges Williams, 93, of Benton, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, June 21, 2012.

Born July 30, 1918 at Garner, she was a daughter of the late

Charles Hodges and Elizabeth Brann Hodges.

Ethyl was a long time member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church, and a current member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. She was past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star White Sulphur chapter 583. Her pastimes included music, quilting and spoiling grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years,

Jack Williams; an infant son; grandson, Howard Porter, Jr.; and 10 siblings, Ray, Bert, J.R., Warren, Clarence, Fred, Virginia, Bessie, Grace, and Marie.

Ethyl is survived by her daughters, Shirlee Porter, Marilyn Williams Watson, and Nancy Boyd and husband Robert; step-son, Don Williams; sisters, Beatrice McDaniel, and Geraldine Parrish; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, 2:00 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Dr. Don Taylor and Grandson Rick Porter officiating.

Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
