LITTLE ROCK James Erwood Jones, 81, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Vincents in Little Rock. He was the son of the late Erwood and Lula Durham Jones of Lacey, Ark.

LITTLE ROCK James Erwood Jones, 81, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Vincents in Little Rock. He was the son of the late Erwood and Lula Durham Jones of Lacey, Ark.

He was a retired school teacher, having taught machine shop 28 plus years, at Little Rock Tech, Metropolian VoTech and Pulaski VoTech. He also had his Real Estate License. He graduated from Drew Central High School in 1948, served in the U. S. Army during Korea, attended Oklahoma A & M and graduated from Arkansas A & M, now UAM in 1958. He attended graduate school at UCA. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Little Rock and the Arkansas Bluegrass Association.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Young and husband, Scott of Little Rock; one son, Kenneth Jones of Little Rock; one sister, Velma Jones of Monticello; one grandson, Austin Young of Little Rock.

A memorial service will be held 67 p.m. Saturday, February 25 at Hebron Baptist Church, 18715 Kanis Rd., Little Rock in Little Rock. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 27 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Lacey Cemetery. Visitation will be 68 p.m. Sunday.
