Milton James Tidwell, 85, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

Born June 26, 1926 at Pine Bluff, he was a son of the late Frank William Tidwell and Mabel Beatrice Culpepper Tidwell, and attended Pine Bluff High School and College of the Ozarks.

Mr. Tidwell retired in 1982 from Southwestern Bell after 31 years of service, living in several locations in Missouri and Texas. He had served in the United States Army and was a member of Greenlee Memorial Baptist Church; the Telephone Pioneers of America, the American Legion, and VFW. Mr. Tidwell was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Sahara Shriners.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rhoda Spharler Tidwell; and three siblings, Betty Lou Robinson, Jack Tidwell and Frank Tidwell.

Mr. Tidwell is survived by his daughter, Debbie Wiest and husband Alan of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Michelle Enochs and husband Will, and Sean Wiest and wife Megan; three great-grandchildren, Ali, Matt, and Kinsley; sisters, Virginia Cloar and Alice Jane Wilson; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Bro. James Watson officiating.

Interment will follow in Good Faith Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
