Rachel Marie Blakley Heffner, 85, of Pine Bluff, went to be with her Lord March 23, 2012.

She was born December 4, 1926 in Fordyce to the late Henry and Lucy Avant Blakley. She attended schools in Sparkman and Fordyce and was a charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Dollarway. Rachel was retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal and had also worked for the Federal government in the Food and Drug Agency.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Heffner, daughter, Marilyn Massey and a granddaughter, Tonya Massey, brother, Jim Blakley, sisters, Mabel Williams, Margaret Britton.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Jerry) Wyatt of Pine Bluff, Jeannine Templeton of Waller, Texas; son, Larry Brown of Waller, Texas; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall with Reverend James Conn officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the St. Luke United Methodist Church, 32 School Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71602.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

The family will be at their home in Watson Chapel.

Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery near Fordyce by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall(www.cranfordfh.com).
