Robert M. Simpson, Jr., 64, a lifetime resident of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, May 27, 2012, at Allegience Hospital in Jacksonville.

Robert M. Simpson, Jr., 64, a lifetime resident of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, May 27, 2012, at Allegience Hospital in Jacksonville.

Born August 1, 1947, in Pine Bluff, he was a son of Robert Milford Simpson, Sr. and Anna Mae Mustachia Simpson.

Mr. Simpson was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff, attending Annunciation Academy. He was a United States Navy veteran of Viet Nam, serving aboard the U. S. S. Shangri-La. Mr. Simpson was a floral designer for Dianna’s Florist until his retirement.

Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Des Roches and Linda Simpson, both of Pine Bluff; one god-child, Gina Weschovic of Biloxi, Miss.; many nieces and nephews.

The vigil will be at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Warren Harvey celebrating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son.
