ALTHEIMER Ray Williamson, 71, of Altheimer, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at home surrounded by his family and friends. Ray, the son of the late Bill and Lorene Whitworth Williamson was born December 6, 1940 in Alligator, Miss.

ALTHEIMER Ray Williamson, 71, of Altheimer, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at home surrounded by his family and friends. Ray, the son of the late Bill and Lorene Whitworth Williamson was born December 6, 1940 in Alligator, Miss.

Ray was an avid hunter, loved gardening and sharing his harvest. He was slow to speak, dedicated to his community, loved restoring old tractors and a jack of all trades and a master of all.

Ray was a farmer, retired from Agriliance and a volunteer fireman for Swan Lake Fire Department. He was a past member of the Arkansas National Guard.

Ray is survived by his wife, Barbara, four sisters, three brothers, and their spouses; Kathleen and Charles Griffith of Elaine, Vivian and Harold Humphrey of Hot Springs, Fay and Jerry Barnes of Elaine, Christene and Bud Short of Wabash, Ross Williamson of Greers Ferry, Roger and Linda Williamson of Harrison, Roland and Clara Williamson of Elaine. He is survived by sisters-in-law and spouses; Marjorie Calhoun of Elaine, Joyce Westfall of Alexander, Ark., Brenda and Steve Horton of Hurricane, W.V., Patricia and Neil Holmes of Brooksville, Fla. and Diane and Joe Ellis of Lake Wales, Fla.; brothers-in-law and their spouses, Johnny and Alpha House of Harrisburg, Tommy and Barbara House of Harrisburg and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Johnnie and Robert Williamson.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, at the First Baptist Church, Altheimer, Ark. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
