By happenstance, I noticed an article on the religious page of the Pine Bluff Commercial on February 11, 2012 entitled "What Jesus might say debated in survey of Christian politics." I would be thankful for the opportunity to respond. Some biblical truths that point ones way in answer to the above survey are as follows: God said "Let there be light and there was light." Genesis 1:3; again the Lord Jesus Christ said "I am the light of the world and he who follows me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of the life." John 8:12; and again Christ said "While you have the light believe in the light so you can become sons of the light." John 12:36.

In First John 1:5 the scripture says “God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.”

I hereby announce to you who desire to see and understand such a seemingly complicated matter, which in reality, is filled with the simplicity of the truth.

One must have the light of the life, the Lord Jesus Christ himself working in you to give you light and eternal life to see, hear, and understand such things which pertain to His person.
