FORDYCE — The Dollarway boy’s basketball improved to 2-0 with a 63-41 win over Arkadelphia in the FB&T Tournament in Fordyce on Monday. Jamal Burton led the Cardinals with 19 points, as Dollarway jumped out to a 36-22 lead at halftime and never looked back.

The Cardinals will play the winner of Monday night’s game between Malvern and Hamburg at 7:35 p.m. on Thursday.

MAGNOLIA — The Pirates improved to 6-0 behind a 24-point game from Damarius Thomas. Dominique Rhodes (11 points) and Jerelle Binns (10) also hit double-figures for Drew Central.

Tonight, the Pirates return home for a game against McGehee.

STUTTGART — The Cardinals improved to 4-3 and pushed their winning streak to three games. Adrian Alford and Kendrick Hunter each had 14 points.

Next for the Cardinals is a Thursday trip to Jack Robey.

HELENA — A last-second shot didn’t fall for the Colts, as Jack Robey dropped to 6-2 on the season. Marcus Thomas led the Colts with nine points. Jack Robey faces Dollarway on Thursday.

The Colts’ eighth-grade team lost 31-27 in their first game of the season.

Watson Chapel 19

A 20-9 haltime deficit was too much for the Lady Wildcats to overcome against the Yellowjackets. Watson Chapel fell to 2-2 while Sheridan improved to 6-1. The Lady Wildcats will not play again until a Dec. 8 home matchup against North Pulaski.

The Watson Chapel eighth-grade team also lost to Sheridan, falling 30-25.

STUTTGART — Jayana Sanders led the Cardinals with 12 points in their win over Stuttgart. Dollarway will take its 2-5 record to Jack Robey for a 5 p.m. game on Thursday.
