NORTH LITTLE ROCK — On Saturday, Cameron Banks tossed a no-hitter through six innings, striking out six batters in leading the Tigers to victory in a tournament.

Banks led all hitters going 2 for 3. Jordan Stargell, Trevor Langford and Brandon Starks each had a hit for the Tigers.

Pine Bluff Tigers 9, Sheridan 1

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — On Saturday, Brandon Wade followed Banks’ no-hitter with a one-hitter and 10 strikeouts in a win over Sheridan.

Wade led all hitters going 3 for 3. Langford went 2 for 3 with two home runs, and Banks was 2 for 3. Tre Harris, Kirel Young and Percy Arnold had a hit apiece for the Tigers.

Pine Bluff will play the Little Rock Pythons at 10:30 a.m. today in pool play to advance to the semifinals.


Pine Bluff Wingstop 7,

Texarkana Tigers 6

In the first game of a round-robin tournament, Pine Bluff Wingstop defeated Texarkana 7-6.

Zach Bradford pitched five innings and struck out five. Ryan Green closed out the game to pick up the save.

Jake Smith was 2 for 3 while Addison Grandy and Nic Anderson was 1 for 4. Matthew Miller, Bradford and Austin Carley were 1 for 3.

Pine Bluff played Nashville later Saturday but the game was not over in time for deadline.
