Itís the third straight year the Razorbacks (29-12), ranked No. 17 in the nation, defeated the Golden Eagles (21-19). Seven Arkansas pitchers took the mound, keeping Oral Roberts hitless until Jose Trevino made a hit in the bottom of the ninth inning. The hit saved Oral Roberts from being no-hit for the first time since 1969. Jared Schluehuber drove in the lone run for ORU.
Trent Daniel (1-0) pitched three innings and struck out five for Arkansas. Nolan Sanburn, Brandon Moore, Tyler Wright, Colby Suggs and Michael Gunn each turned in scoreless outings out of the bullpen.
Carver hit his home runs in his first at-bat and in the fifth. Derrick Bleeker and Jacob Mahan each had two hits for Arkansas.
