BATON ROUGE, La. — Raph Rhymes went 2 for 4 with four RBI, JaCoby Jones added four hits and No. 15 LSU defeated third-ranked Arkansas 10-6 on Friday night at Alex Box Stadium.

The Tigers improved to 20-6 and 4-3 in league play.

Bo Bigham, Derrick Bleeker and Matt Reynolds each had two hits to lead Arkansas (22-4, 5-2) at the plate. Bleeker and Reynolds each added two RBI, while Dominic Ficociello also drove in a run.

Each of the first six batters in the LSU batting order had at least two hits, led by Jones, who went 4 for 5 with a RBI and a run scored. Rhymes homered and drove in a game-high four runs and had two hits. Austin Nola added three hits with a RBI and a run scored. Grant Dozar, Mason Katz and Ty Ross each had two hits. One of Ross’ two hits was his first home run of the season, while Tyler Hanover also hit his first round-tripper of the year.

LSU starter Kevin Gausman (5-0) gave up five runs and struck out 12 in 6 2/3 innings. Arkansas reliever Cade Lynch (0-1) gave up four runs on five hits in 2 1/3 innings.

Razorback starter D.J. Baxendale picked up a no-decision after allowing five runs and striking out four in 2 1/3 innings.

Arkansas and LSU continue the three-game series at 7 tonight. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
