SYLVAN HILLS — Watson Chapel remains in the 5A-Southeast Conference hunt as the Wildcats split with Sylvan Hills on Tuesday.

Sylvan Hills (7-1 5A-Southeast) won the first game 4-1, but Watson Chapel (16-6, 5-1) took the second game 7-0. White Hall leads the conference with an 8-0 record.

In the first game, Wyatt Jones took the loss as he went five innings and gave up three runs on six hits and struck out four. V.J. Dickson had two hits.

Zach Bradford got the win for Watson Chapel in second game as he pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out seven. At the plate he went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Jordan Stargell was a home run shy of the cycle as he went 3 for 3, Justin Dardenne was 2 for 3 with two triples and Reece Huffty was 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Watson Chapel plays at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at Crossett.

Star City 15, Dollarway 0

STAR CITY — Austin White held Dollarway to one hit as Star City picked up a 15-0 win in four innings on Tuesday.

Zach House went 3 for 3 and Jake Carr was 2 for 3 for Star City (10-7, 5-4 in 8-4A Conference).

Jay Reed had Dollarway’s (2-7 in 8-4A) lone hit.

Star City plays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at McGehee.

Star City 17, Lake Village Lakeside 0

STAR CITY — Star City’s Zach House and Slade Hawkins combined to shut out Lake Village Lakeside 17-0 in three innings on Tuesday.

Hawkins pitched two innings and struck out four, and Hawkins pitched one inning and struck out two batters.

Hunter Johnson had seven RBIs for Star City, House and Dagen Levengood each had two RBIs and Drue Harvey was 2 for 2.

Woodlawn 15, Norphlet 0

NORPHLET — Trey Hankins hit a grand slam as Woodlawn beat Norphlet 15-0 in three innings on Tuesday.

Hankins grand slam came during an 11-run first inning. Blake Brown was the winning pitcher for Woodlawn (18-3, 2-0 in 7-2A East).

Rison 18, Drew Central 2

MONTICELLO — Dustin Dees held Drew Central to two hits as Rison won 18-2 in four innings on Tuesday.

Dees struck out six for Rison (4-9, 2-3 in 8-3A Conference) and also was 3 for 3 at the plate. Jackson Lowery went 2 for 3 and Tyler Parker was 3 for 4.

Rison scored eight runs in the first inning.

Tommy Wilmonth and Justin Brixie had the two hits for Drew Central (4-11, 0-3).

Glen Rose 11, Fordyce 0

GLEN ROSE — Fordyce was held to two hits in an 11-0 loss to Glen Rose on Tuesday.

Austin Hollis and Austin Tywater had the two hits for Fordyce (9-4), which plays at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Camden Harmony Grove.


Pine Bluff 16-13, Little Rock Parkview 1-5

LITTLE ROCK — Pine Bluff swept Little Rock Parkview 16-1 and 13-5 on Tuesday.

In the two games combined, Jada Taylor went 4 for 5, Victoria Brody was 4 for 6 and Amber McDonald was 3 for 5 with a triple.

Brittany Wright was 3 for 6 in both games and hit an inside-the-park home run in the second game, which was her fourth home run of the year. Tiffany Hubbart was 2 for 2 in the first game for Pine Bluff (10-2).

Pine Bluff plays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at home against Little Rock Mills.

Sylvan Hills 9-14, Watson Chapel 3-3

SYLVAN HILLS — Watson Chapel was swept by Sylvan Hills on Tuesday 9-3 and 14-3.

Maegen Greer took the loss in the first game and gave up all nine runs in four innings for Watson Chapel (14-7, 3-3 in 5A-Southeast). Lexie Downing pitched two scoreless innings and was 2 for 4 at the plate.

Natalie Johnson went 2 for-4 and Harley Easter and Jamie Bridges each went 1 for 3.

In the second game, Watson Chapel was held to two hits. Easter and Bridges each had a single.

Watson Chapel plays at 4 p.m. on Thursday at Stuttgart.


White Hall 6, North Pulaski 0

JACKSONVILLE — Jordan Lawson scored four goals to lead White Hall past North Pulaski 6-0 on Tuesday.

Ruben Zamora and Shareif Shelton each had a goal for White Hall (11-3, 4-1 in 5A-Southeast) as Garrett Griffith, Kinzie Kight, Tommy Townsend and Erik Hudson all had assists.

Five of the six goals were scored in the first half. Shelton’s goal came on a penalty kick in the second half as White Hall had 15 shots on goal. North Pulaski was held to six shots on goal.

White Hall plays at 7 p.m. on April 24 at home against Monticello for the conference title.

Sheridan 3, Texarkana 2

SHERIDAN — Carlos Perez scored the game-winning goal with four minutes left as Sheridan beat Texarkana 3-2 on Tuesday.

Sheridan (3-4 in 6A-South) went up 2-0 before Texarkana tied the game at 2 going into halftime.

Perez had two goals and Dan Her scored the first goal for Sheridan, which plays at 7 p.m. on Friday at home against Lake Hamilton.

Sylvan Hills 4, Monticello 0

SYLVAN HILLS — Sylvan Hills beat Monticello 4-0 on Tuesday.

Sylvan Hills went up 3-0 in the first half against Monticello (6-6, 3-1 in 5A-Southeast).


White Hall 6, North Pulaski 1

JACKSONVILLE — Corea Lowery had a hat trick as White Hall beat North Pulaski 6-1 on Tuesday.

Maria Ramirez added two goals and Sarah Smith had a goal for White Hall (6-4-1).

White Hall plays on April 19 in Little Rock in a three-day tournament.

Sheridan 2, Texarkana 1

SHERIDAN — Wynn Welch scored with five minutes left to give Sheridan a 2-1 win over Texarkana on Tuesday.

Sheridan (10-4, 3-1 in 6A-South) had a 1-0 lead at halftime before Texarkana tied the game. Welch scored Sheridan’s first goal.

Sheridan plays at 5 p.m. on Friday at home against Lake Hamilton.
