MAGNOLIA Watson Chapel won the Magnolia Classic baseball tournament with a 8-3 victory over Genoa Central on Sunday.

Justin Dardenne picked up the win in 6 1/3 innings and struck out seven batters. His brother, Josh, pitched the final two-thirds of an inning for the save.

Zach Bradford was the offensive star in the game for Watson Chapel (9-5) as he went 3 for 4 with four RBIs. Jordan Stargell added a hit and an RBI.

Wyatt Jones, Bradford and Justin Dardenne were named to the Magnolia Classic All-Tournament team.

Watson Chapel plays a home doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday at against North Pulaski.

MAGNOLIA Earlier Saturday, Watson Chapel beat Magnolia 8-4 in the semifinals.

Bradford went 6 1/3 innings in the win and struck out eight batters. Josh Dardenne got the final two outs for the save.

At the plate, Jones was 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. Justin Dardenne was 2 for 3 with a double and Landen Colson and Bradford were each 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Little Rock Mills 12,

Drew Central 5

MONTICELLO Little Rock Mills scored 10 runs in the first two innings and went on to beat Drew Central (3-6).

Mills only had two hits in the first two innings as a majority of the damage was done with Drew Central errors and walks.

Aaron Goad took the loss for the Pirates as he went 1 2/3 innings and gave up 10 runs and only two were earned. He had five walks and five strikeouts.

Justen Brixie and Goad each had two hits and an RBI for Drew Central.
