Are you a child of the 1950s or 1960s? Still have some of those great fashions of the day?

Are you a child of the 1950s or 1960s? Still have some of those great fashions of the day?

The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas needs those great dresses, skirts, suits, ties, hats, sweater vests, bowler shirts — anything from the 1950s and 1960s — to costume the performers in the upcoming production of “Hairspray”, the musical that delighted audiences by sweeping them away to 1960s Baltimore, where the 1950s are out and change is in the air.

Donations can be dropped off at the center at 701 Main St., Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Donations are tax-deductible.

The center can only accept outright donations, not garments on loan, as the center might need to make alterations or modify designs. Items must be received by July 14.

For more information or questions concerning items being accepted for the production, please contact Philip McGuire at the Arts & Science Center at 870-536-3375, ext. 226.
