Two SUVs collided on Dollarway Road at its intersection with Chipmunk Drive, Patrolman Tommy Kelly said.

An eastbound 1999 Lexus RX3 driven by Myranda L. Randle of 9723 Princeton Pike, Pine Bluff, turned left from Chipmunk into the path of a northbound 2000 Dodge Durango driven by Laura D. Johnson, 208 W. Piney Road, Pine Bluff, according to the accident report.

— Scarlett Chism of 2807 Reed Drive, Pine Bluff, owner of a 2009 Pontiac G6, told Sgt. Sandy Castleberry the parked car was damaged when it was hit by a second vehicle on the parking lot of the Huddle House restaurant, 7735 Sheridan Road.

Chism was quoted as saying she told the driver of the second vehicle her car was not damaged, then discovered damage to the left side of the Pontiac after the driver had left the scene.

— Rebecca M. Simpson, 39, of 1123 N. Phillips St., Pine Bluff, was issued a court citation for theft of property after she was accused of taking $65.18 from Dollar General, 8605 Dollarway Road, on Oct. 14, when she was a store employee, said Patrolman Celena Harbison.

— Starr Perez of 304 Maddox St., White Hall, told Patrolman Brent Bridges several music CDs were taken from her unlocked 2006 Ford Taurus.

Tawanta Marshall of 109 W. Little Lane, Apt. B-2, White Hall, was quoted by Patrolman Stephen Moreau as saying her northbound 2010 Ford Fusion sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage when a deer ran into the front of the vehicle on Dollarway Road.

Kevin Ray Barnes, 41, of 1940 U.S. 63, Rison, was arrested by Sgt. Sandy Castleberry for DUI and felony theft by receiving after the officer stopped a 1995 Ford truck driven by Barnes in the 1200 block of McGehee Street.

The officer quoted the owner of Brenda’s Portable Toilets as saying the truck had been taken from the business.

Oct. 28

Carl John Clearly, 29, of 2816 S. Orlando St., Pine Bluff, was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Sgt. Sandy Castleberry and Patrolman Robert Rogers at the Big Red Travel Plaza, 8110 Sheridan Road. The vehicle he had been driving, a 2008 Ford pickup truck, was impounded.

Firemen were dispatched to White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center, 9209 Dollarway Road, in response to an automatic alarm. A power failure activated the false alarm.

Oct. 28

Firemen were called to Taco Bell, 8011 Sheridan Road, in response to a smoke alarm. The alarm was cancelled before the trucks responded.
