Northside appeared to be on its way to a home sweep after the Lady Bears took the first two sets Tuesday.

But Bryant came back and won the next two sets to force a deciding fifth set. Northside, however, was able to pull out a 25-19, 25-14, 17-25, 23-25, 15-9 win in 6A-Central action at Kaundart-Grizzly Fieldhouse.

Nicole Medlin recorded 16 kills and had a .552 hitting percentage. She also had three blocks and eight digs.

Grace Anne Hollenbeck added 12 kills, 14 digs and three aces, while Quineisha Tillery had 11 kills.

Also for the Lady Bears, Nakiah Willis had six kills, four blocks and five digs, Lexie Mosby recorded 45 assists, 15 digs and two aces, Thea Bishop finished with 30 digs and four aces and Zee Fisher got 12 digs and four aces.

Northside (18-8, 5-3), which currently stands in fourth place in the conference, is at home again today to take on Little Rock Central.

Greenwood 3, Vilonia 0

The Lady Bulldogs finished the first half of 5A-West play undefeated as they took care of business on the road, winning 25-8, 25-17, 25-13.

Camryn Presley had 12 kills along with three blocks and two aces for the Lady Bulldogs (13-4, 7-0).

Kayley Lawson, Zoie Benton and Abby Cagle each had five kills as well, and Cagle recorded a pair of blocks.

Greenwood returns home today for a conference match against Greenbrier.
