Wynn finished the game with eight strikeouts and no walks. He threw just 72 pitches — 50 of them strikes.


For Star City (6-1, 3-0 in 8-4A), Austin Powell led the offense with three hits in three trips with an RBI and a walk. Austin Capps was 2 for 3 with an RBI.


Garry Hill, Austin Smith and Cain Patton had a hit each for the Bulldogs.


Monticello drops to 2-1 in the conference.


Star City will host Warren on Thursday.

CAMDEN — Lance Oltmann had three hits with three RBIs as the Stuttgart Ricebirds defeated Camden Fairview 8-1 on Monday night.


Blake Marks picked up the win after pitching five innings, allowing three hits with three strikeouts and two walks.


Stuttgart (3-2) will host Southside-Batesville on Wednesday.



The softball game between Stuttgart and Dumas was postponed on Monday to poor field conditions.


The game is rescheduled for a doubleheader on April 29 at Stuttgart. Stuttgart (2-1) will play at Southside-Batesville on Wednesday and will host Des Arc on Thursday.


The softball game between Sheridan and El Dorado — originally scheduled for Friday — has been moved to Thursday and will start at 4:30 p.m.
