Senior football linebacker Jer-ryan Harris and sophomore track and field standout Sireta Roach were named the Male and Female Athletes of the Year during Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s athletics banquet on April 28. Harris, an All-SWAC performer, ranked sixth in the Football Championship Subdivision in tackles per game with 10.7. Roach was named Most Outstanding Field Athlete last month in the SWAC Outdoor Championships after winning the shot put. She also is the indoor shot put champion in the SWAC.
