The Drew High School Class of 1964 recently reunited in Little Rock to celebrate their 50-year class reunion.

The "The Golden Lions" theme was "Celebrating our 50 Year Reunion, We Can Still Roar".

Twenty-five classmates gathered from all over the country for a three-day celebration. The classmates reflected on the good times they had in high school and gave updates about their careers and family.

The classmates enjoyed a tour of the city on the Little Rock Tours Bus. They visited the Arkansas State Capitol, Central High School, Little Rock 9 Statues, Mosaic Templar and the Clinton Presidential Library. They also enjoyed dinner in the River Market area in downtown Little Rock.

They had an old-time pep rally, led by former cheerleaders Classie Foster Green of Pine Bluff, Helen Jackson Nixon of Texas, Brenda Matthews Vincent of California and Glorise Suber Peterson of Michigan.

The reunion ended with the classmates traveling to the Arkansas Riverboat for an all-white dinner cruise. At the end of the cruise, a DVD production of "Reflection of the Past DHS 1964-2014" was played. Each class member received a special 50-year journal, which included photos of the past, instructors, memorial section, and addresses so everyone could keep in touch.

Green was the reunion coordinator. The class has scheduled its next reunion in Hot Springs in 2017.
