Important moments, events and thoughts from the minutest everyday occurrences to earth shattering events that numb the mind are used to create a tangible representation of life inside the "Mind of D". Married 44 years to his wife Debby, he is a father of two boys and grandfather of five, retired law enforcement officer and a cancer survivor.

Davies’ art, stories and poetry are his personal "buffer zone" while also providing a communications "tool" to reach and maintain a common sharable connection with people of all ages. Currently he is a part-time officer at the White Hall Police Department and owner of the Awareness-Prevention-Intervention Group (A.P.I.G.), which conducts contracted trainings all over the state for law enforcement agencies and schools. He is also the creator and presenter of the S.H.O.T. Program (See it, Hear it, Tell it), which has been presented to thousands of second through seventh-graders. His art is on view in the concourse of the Donald W. Reynolds Building, as the Artist of the Quarter through the end of December.

There will be light refreshments and a business meeting to vote on officers for the coming year, news about upcoming workshops, fundraisers and events of interest to the art community. These meetings are free and open to the public.

Interested artists are invited to come and paint with the gang on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information on how to become an Art League member, contact Inis Ray, president, at 870-718-4726 or by email greenback71603@yahoo.com.
