Southeast Arkansas College Student Ambassadors recently volunteered at Neighbor-to-Neighbor by serving lunch to community residents.


The students assisted with cleaning food trays, washing dishes, working the serving line and cleaning the dining area. Approximately 125 individuals were served Friday including men, women and children.


Nerva Copeland, advisor for the Student Ambassadors, she she appreciated their hard work and enjoyed seeing them in action.


“The students really enjoyed volunteering and they are eager to work again,” Copeland said.


Neighbor-to-Neighbor serves lunch to approximately 2,500 to 3,000 people a month, operates a food pantry for the low-income elderly and those in need of emergency food. They also provide information and acts as a referral service for the needy, according to a news release.
