The Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff meets at noon Wednesdays at the Pine Bluff Country Club. On Oct. 11, the guest speaker will be Rachel M. Miller, executive director of the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas.

She has been with the center since April 1 and is a graduate of the Heritage Studies PhD program at Arkansas State University, according to a news release.

Miller moved to Little Rock in 1994 from Ramstein, Germany.

“She credits living abroad in her childhood with the opportunity to explore different cultures, an experience that heavily influenced her writing and work in the field of cultural heritage,” according to the release.
