Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Delta Omega Omega Chapter’s 2017 Debutante Cotillion Committees recently sponsored a ”Meet and Greet” for 47 young women and their parents.

The participants were chosen for this year’s cotillion because of their excellence in academics and character, according to a news release. They also participated in activities such as improving social skills and team building workshops and served as volunteers during the Jefferson County Run/Walk/Dance Marathon.

Commeka Goodloe, Michaela Howard and Lavatia Wooten are the tri-chairwomen for the cotillion.

“This is the 50th Cotillion Ball hosted by the chapter and we are all very excited and working hard to make this a memorable occasion for the young ladies and the Pine Bluff Community,” Goodloe said.
