Pine Bluff Advertising & Tourist Promotion Commission Chairman William Moss appointed Lenore Shoults to the commission’s marketing committee Wednesday during a special meeting.
Moss provided Shoults’ resume showing she earned a Ph.D. and master’s degree in heritage studies from Arkansas State University, a master’s degree in mass communications radio/television from Arkansas State University, a bachelor’s degree in art history from Rutgers University, a teaching certification in art education K-12 in the State of New Jersey, and is also a certified interpretation manager from the National Association of Interpreters. Shoults is currently the curator at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas.
Shoults was nominated for the Henry Award for Heritage Tourism in 2017 and won the Governor’s Award for Arts Education in 2016, among other awards. Moss made this appointment at a meeting with Pine Bluff City Councilor Glen Brown Jr. and Wanda Bateman. Moss said he has a personal relationship with Shoults.
