First Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for its scholarship program and the 2018 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

Applicants must have parents or guardians who are First Electric members, have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average through their senior year of high school and upon graduation and attend an accredit­ed institute of higher learning in Arkansas on a full-time basis. High school seniors may apply for a $2,000 scholarship funded through Operation Round-Up.

High school juniors whose parents or guardians are First Electric members may apply for the youth tour, an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, June 8-14.

Both applications are available under the “Community” tab at and at any First Electric office. Applications are due by March 16 for the Youth Tour and by April 2 for the scholarship program.
