The Pine Bluff Art League will feature Warren based artist Rob Reep during the meeting from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 4. The meeting will be held in the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave.

A multi-faceted artist, involved in canvas art as well as the film industry, Reep is well known for his documentaries and feature films on the history and folklore of his hometown, according to a news release.

Reep’s art is usually oil paintings and many depict his love for Colorado and the West. He has had showings across Arkansas and Colorado, according to the release.

“There is something about my soul that pulls me again and again toward the West, particularly to Colorado,” Reep said.

The artist teaches oil workshops and classes in the Warren area and operates a gallery at Little Rock where he offers consignment art sales. He also has a painting show on YouTube at

Reep also owns a newspaper in South Arkansas, plays golf, enjoys kayaking and beekeeping, and long walks in the country.

Guests are welcome to attend the meeting. Vickie Coleman, league president, reminds visitors to come to the south side of the Reynolds building for easy access to the meeting room.

“We here at the art league love visitors at our meetings,” Coleman said. “We have over 100 paintings displayed in our gallery, and there is a good chance visitors will find a painting by someone they know.”

Light refreshments will be served and members and guests will have a chance to sign up for up-coming workshops.
