The Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff meets at noon Wednesdays at the Pine Bluff Country Club. On March 7, the guest speaker will be Jeanette Bradshaw Lightfoot, volunteer coordinator for RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.)
Lightfoot is starting her third year with RSVP, where she works 16 hours a week and volunteers as well.
Lightfoot began a wedding cake and specialty cake business after her children were grown.
“A need for catering services and wedding coordinator came to her attention and she was able to add these services to Elegant Traditions by Jeanette for more than 20 years,” according to a news release.
Lightfoot is a member of the board of the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation (ANF). She is the widow of Frank Lightfoot, who spent 54 years in the newspaper business and was the former owner and publisher of The White Hall Journal.
Other volunteer work includes the American Red Cross, where she is on the disaster team, serving as the volunteer engagement lead for the Greater Arkansas Chapter and Southeast Arkansas Community Volunteer lead, according to the release.
