Relyance Bank, N.A., headquartered in Pine Bluff, announced Tuesday that over the weekend of March 9, 2018, it successfully completed the acquisition of certain Heartland Bank branches and certain deposits and loan accounts, according to a news release.

Through the acquisition, originally disclosed in December 2017, Relyance Bank has acquired branches in Bryant, Fordyce and Sheridan and will service customers from the Heartland Heights location in Little Rock at the existing Relyance Bank Heights branch, located at 1801 North Fillmore St.

“Relyance Bank views these Heartland communities as a complement to our existing retail franchise; they allow us to provide greater convenience and service to our existing customers.” said Chuck Morgan, president and CEO of Reylance.

“At the same time, this acquisition has given us the ability to provide a new group of customers with a broader product offering, increased lending limits and a much wider set of branch offices across Arkansas.”

The closing of the transaction was completed Friday, March 9, 2018, with the newly acquired locations opening as Relyance Bank, Monday, March 12, 2018. Preparations could be seen at all three locations over the weekend, including the installation of Relyance Bank signs.

“We will be a stronger and larger bank, but we will still be a bank that is focused on our customers and supporting our local communities,” Morgan said. “We will keep our community bank roots firmly planted in our local communities.”
