Allison Elkins of Jonesboro, a senior at Williams Baptist College at Walnut Ridge, presented her research at the annual conference of the Southwest Psychological Association at Houston, Texas.

Elkins is a 2014 graduate of White Hall High School. She is scheduled to graduate from Williams Baptist this year, according to a news release.

The conference was held April 11-16. Elkins’ presentation was entitled, “Robbed of Trust: Pastors’ Kids and the Church.” She was entered in the Psi Chi Research Competition and received honorable mention, which included a cash prize and certificate​, according to the release.

“Williams students have been selected to present their studies at the SWPA conference for the past several years. The organization is comprised of psychology professionals and students from a seven-state area,” according to the release.

Elkins is the daughter of Allen and Renee Elkins of Jonesboro. Her father is a former White Hall pastor, according to the release.
