The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St., will host several upcoming events.

Thursday, May 3 — Pine Bluff High School Art Exhibit

The center will host the Pine Bluff High School Annual Art Exhibit beginning with a free reception from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 3. Artists’ remarks will be made at 5:30. p.m. The center will host the exhibit through July 7. Students working with art teacher, Shalisha Thomas, have entered 20 works of art by 16 artists. The community is invited to attend. The exhibition sponsor is Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel, according to a news release.

Friday, May 4 — Live@5 featuring the On Call Band

Live@5 features live music from 5-7 p.m. the first Friday of each month. The cost of the event is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. The event is for guests 21 or older. M.K. Distributors Inc. is the sponsor, according to according to the center’s website.

Saturdays — Yoga for Kids

Every Saturday from 10:15–11 a.m., the center hosts free Yoga for Kids ages 7 and older. “Yoga is a great way to increase fitness, decrease stress, and improve mental focus in a noncompetitive manner,” according to a news release. Adult chaperones may join, too.

Saturday, May 12 — Second Saturday Family FunDay

From 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, ASC will host its free Second Saturday Family FunDay, a monthly hands-on arts and science event. This month’s event features the opening of an exhibit called IMAGINATE - an interactive, multi-activity exhibition that promotes innovation through collaboration and creative risk-taking. The event is sponsored by the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation, an affiliate office of the Arkansas Community Foundation Inc., according to the center’s website.

Monday and Tuesday, May 14-15 — Auditions for “Sister Act”

Auditions for “Sister Act” will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, and at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15. All cast members must be available for all performances scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, through Saturday, July 28, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, according to the center’s website.
